1-5 p.m. – Group will regroup back at the classroom at Cafe Zarah to review the images captured over the past 2 days. Sean will give a presentation about editing and how to choose the best images from a shoot. Students will then apply this to their images, selecting the best to share with the class in a final group presentation.
What do you need to bring?
Camera!..but it doesn’t matter what camera. Any camera will do. Even a cellphone. Sean’s workshops focus on the practice of photography and we avoid too much technical talk, unless it is really needed. So, a DSLR, point and shoot camera, or cellphone are all okay. On day 2 of the workshop, you will need something to edit your photos on for the final presentation, so please bring a small laptop or tablet computer.
Lenses…If you are using a DSLR, please don’t bring any large telephoto lenses. Keep your lens choice simple e.g. 35mm or 50mm. These are great for street photography.
Batteries and Memory Cards…Bring plenty of both and don’t forget to fully charge batteries.
What if you can’t attend the whole weekend?
No problem. The most important sessions, are the morning session on Day 1 when Sean introduces the main workshop theme, and the afternoon of Day 2 when we review and present the final images. The rest of the time is allocated for photographing, but if you need to run some errands, or have other family commitments, for example, you can use this time as you wish. It is advised though to stay with the group plan as much as possible so that you get the full benefit of the workshop.
Are food and transport included?
Transport to and from the workshop is not included in the price. Participants are expected to make their own way to and from Cafe Zarah. The main photography activities will all be within walking distance of Cafe Zarah.
Food and drinks are not included in the price, but Cafe Zarah have an extensive and healthy menu that will help fuel everyone through the weekend!
What language will the workshop be held in?
The workshop will be held mainly in English.
