PROJECT HOPE - Sean Gallagher - Photographer & Filmmaker | Beijing, China

“For more than 60 years, Project HOPE has transformed the health and well-being of people and communities around the world. We work on the front lines of the world’s health challenges, partnering hand-in-hand with communities, health care workers and public health systems to ensure sustainable change.”

“Ying Jun’s story is an inspiring one. When Ying was 14 years old, he was diagnosed with Leukemia. It was a long and trying road to recovery but the doctors and nurses at Shanghai Children’s Medical Center saved his life. Project HOPE helped establish the pediatric hospital in 1995 and still closely partners with the hospital to this day. Now, Ying returns to the hospital regularly to volunteer. He visits each young patient in the oncology department and shares his story to motivate them to keep their heads up and support them in their battle with cancer.”

Sean Gallagher was commissioned to produce this short film about one of the people Project Hope has helped in Shanghai, China.
